/I have a reply to Lambo saved to draft so I’ll complete and post it tomorrow
The prince looked over at the girl, he could tell that she was confused about something.“I bet you are wondering why I am here if I don’t have a mission huh? Well it’s simple, I just came here for some sushi, it’s always better fresh from Japan.”
“…so you come all this way for sushi?”
It boggled her mind. For one, how was he able to get away from the consonantly angry Boss. Plus it was quite a trip, just to get a fresh sushi lunch.
Maybe she wasn’t meant to understand though.
“Well…I hope you enjoy your sushi then” was the only well-wishes Chrome could think to give.

“Lambo-san can have the whole bag?” He took the bag, eyes as a big as a saucer, and then proceeded to scarf down half of it in a second. “You’re a whole lot nicer than Stupidera, he wouldn’t feed Lambo-san.”
“Hm? Well…I guess he doesn’t want to spoil you.” Chrome mused. Since she only encountered Lambo a handful of times, Chrome figured she didn’t need to worry about the consequences of giving Lambo what he wanted.
“It really isn’t nice though…to call people names” she muttered. At least she could pretend to act like an authority figure.

“I haven’t seen you in a while, I thought you had ran off or something. Where have you been then?”
“Well…” the truth was she had run away for a little while. Chrome decided to skim over confirming Ken’s suspicions though and skip to the question.
“I stayed with friends for a few days, then had a place of my own.” Even with her own ‘home’, Chrome choose coming back.
“I am allowed to come back, right?” she asked. It did seem a little rude now, to just show up without asking the others.
Lambo took the snack from her and inspected it before putting it in his mouth and eating it. His eyes went wide and he quickly said “Lambo-san wants more!”. Lambo started jumping up in down in anticipation of more of that tasty snack.
Chrome blinked at the exclamation. Well, this was preferable over him not liking what she had to offer. Without hesitation, Chrome offered the open bag for Lambo to take.
“I’ve had enough. You can eat the rest if you want, Lambo.”

He watched as she looked in her bag for the chocolate snack she was talking about. “Lambo-san likes chocolate snacks but I like grape candy more.” Lambo rocked back forth impatiently on his heels as he waited for her to give him the snack.
“Ah…I’m sorry Lambo but I don’t have any grape candies.” She hoped the child would be okay with just chocolates. Pulling out a crinkled bag, Chrome unrolled the top to open it up. Taking a piece for herself at first, she offered one to Lambo.
“See…it’s good” she said before crunching another chocolate cracker.

Lambo looked up at the older girl and rubbed his eyes. “Lambo-san is hungry.”
“Um…” The female Mist wasn’t too sure about this. It was late and really the youngest guardian should be at Bossu’s house at this hour.
In the end, she dropped her school bag from her shoulder to open it up, “I think I’ve got some chocolate snack in here…”
Sure, give the kid sugar snacks then send him home. And people wonder why Chrome shouldn’t be a babysitter.

“Ushishi~ Yes I did, it was a fun fight, for me at least since I won.”” I am fine I guess, a little bored. I haven’t had a mission in a while.”
“Mhm…” she’d hold her tongue on that one since Chrome hadn’t been present to watch the Storm battle. She had heard the results second hand from Bossu and Gokudera- last one peppering the events with some explicative words.
“Ah…that would be pretty dull.”
So why is he here? Chrome asked herself. Namimori was quite a ways off and there wasn’t much in such a small town to begin with.

“Ah…” Chrome saw the small one, the young Lambo. Wasn’t it a little late for him to be out and about though.
“Hello…?”
He couldn’t help but grin to that. “Because maybe I shall say something you don’t want to hear?” Kyoya answered in a teasing tone, before shaking his head to the sides. He barely knew the woman, how could he have an opinion then?
Folding his arms against his chest then, the raven tilted his head to the side, arching an eyebrow. “And so? Was that enough to appease your curiosity?”
The girl considered the Cloud guardian’s question. It really didn’t matter, she decided; what he thought. She and Hibari-san shared the privilege of existing just on the outside the ‘family’ itself, only for different reasons. So, it didn’t matter. Not really…
“Yes, it was. …thank you Hibari-san” Chrome added. Hm, maybe now was a good time to go.
Yes, best not overstay her visit.
Ken’s eyes narrowed once he saw Chrome. ” Tch, what are you doing here?”
“…I live here”
Maybe he had forgotten that already. Well…she had been gone for a few weeks, so perhaps his attention span was as bad as Mukuro-sama said it was…
